Think Events - Think Big - Think IMAX

When it comes to events big or small, IMAX in Darling Harbour is guaranteed to make an impact. The Theatre recently held the Australian premiere for The Alps, featuring a cocktail party on the mezzanine foyer before a guest presentation in the auditorium by mountain climber John Harlin.

New caterers to IMAX, European Catering, tailored a Swiss menu for the occasion - the film being set in Switzerland of course! - and added a tiered centrepiece to display their very festive Swiss salads in martini glasses and delicious Lindt choc mousse desserts.

Here is Leo with the tiered cocktail display... There were no choc mousse desserts left over at the end!

A simple statement at the entrance to the Theatre.

The foyer was themed ice mountain style by Thomson Street Events, with a snow machine and inflatable icicles! The IMAX stairs were dressed as ice covered mountains, theming the entrance as guests arrived for the launch.

The IMAX Mezzanine foyer is dressed and ready for the event to begin! The foyer holds up to 500 cocktail style (the same capacity at the Theatre auditorium).

Drinks staff from European Catering looked the part as they greeted guests at the entrance.

Are you planning a team building movie night, product launch or corporate presentation? Maybe IMAX - and the world's biggest screen - could be just the venue?
