Follow Alice back down the rabbit hole - in IMAX 3D!

Johnny Depp's words echo against a backdrop of lavishly costumed characters and fantasy landsapes in this new Tim Burton film - Alice in Wonderland 3D - due out in March 2010. In a departure from many other Alice adaptations, director Tim Burton has confirmed that the film will feature elements from both "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass" in a story based on Alice's returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting her with childhood friends: The White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, The Dormouse, The Caterpillar, The Cheshire Cat, and of course, The Mad Hatter. Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end The Red Queen's reign of terror.
Mark Zoradi, President Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Group, said, “If ever there was a film that cried out to be presented in Disney Digital 3D(TM) and the premium IMAX 3D format, Tim Burton’s fantastic interpretation of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ is that film. This is going to be an eye-popping cinematic experience as Tim takes moviegoers down the rabbit hole and into the dimensional world filled with incredible characters, sly humor, and wild adventures. Disney’s partnership with IMAX is taking shape with two amazing films already on the schedule. We look forward to working with them in bringing exciting new experiences and quality entertainment to IMAX screens around the world.”
Alice in Wonderland 3D is due for release at IMAX in Darling Harbour on 18 March 2010.
