AVATAR TICKETS ON SALE TO 31 DECEMBER.
Tuesday, November 17 by Julie Brown
Book your ticket now and you won't need to queue for a specific seat when seeing James Cameron's epic new feature film, AVATAR 3D (opens 16 Dec with advance screenings from 5pm).
At IMAX in Darling Harbour, we have introduced 'best available' allocated seating, which means you know exactly where you'll be sitting and your seat number is guaranteed.
That means goodbye to queuing and more time to relax with a drink or meal in surrounding Darling Harbour.

The IMAX auditorium in Darling Harbour has a unique, steeply raked seating arrangement, giving all 500 seats in the auditorium an excellent view of the screen. Add to that state-of-the-art 3D and a whopping 15,000 watts of digital surround sound and you're not simply watching a movie, you're in it!

chris 4 months agoA few weeks into the release, after things have settled down, will there be unallocated seats for Avatar?
-
Julie Brown, IMAX Theatre Sydney 4 months agoAt this stage we're planning to stick with the 'best available' allocated seating for Avatar, and other selected films, until at least we transition to a 'choose your own seat' system, which we hope will be in place from February. In the meantime, you can move to a vacant seat (if available) once the film has started.

Ping 2 months agoCould you please tell me where is the best IMAX seat for watching?
-
Pong 2 months agoThe IMAX is pretty much big enough so wherever you sit it should be good. Seeing as they have sold out every seat since the opening for Avatar, I'd imagine you'd be good anywhere

Pong 2 months agoCalm down buddy! Obviously people would prefer to sit right in the middle, I was just saying if you can't get the middle then that is not such a bad thing. Sheesh..

Liz 2 months agoThe on line booking is still not working - I have tried three times to book seats for Avatar and still am unsucessful. I get seats allocated, I put in all my credit cards details ... press CONFIRM and wait - till it times itself out. I have also found it impossible to get someone to talk to on the phone - I am on STD and just wait and wait and wait - and then hang up. PLEASE SOMEONE - how do I get tickets when I don't live in Sydney. We have now missed out on the school holidays virtually.

Frank 2 months agoJust a thought, the issue may be your web browser. Have you tried in a different browser such as firefox? (www.getfirefox.com/)
