HSC Business Studies Case Study: BIG SCREEN BUSINESS
Friday, May 7 by Julie Brown
Take a look behind the scenes at the business behind the big screen in this popular case study designed for HSC Business Studies students.
The program was developed in repsonse to demand from teachers for an up to the minute case study for business studies that students could identify with. What better business than one in the cinema industry, where the peak audience demographic is in the range 18-29 years? The IMAX Theatre Sydney business story is a very interesting one, dating back to 1996 when the theatre opened with fanfare as the world's biggest screen.

The HSC Business Studies presentation is carried out in the IMAX auditorium using PowerPoint. A film screening follows at 10am, giving students a taste of 'The IMAX Experience'. Over 5000 students a year participate in the IMAX Business Studies program as part of organised excursions at the Theatre. Is your school one of them?
