BUSINESS TALKS FOR HSC BUSINESS STUDIES STUDENTS

Take a look behind-the-scenes at the business behind the big screen. Big Screen Business includes a PowerPoint™ presentation followed by IMAX film screening, plus resources for students and teachers.

POWERPOINT™ PRESENTATION FOR STUDENTS

45 minutes

The Big Screen Business student digital presentation is a 45 minute lecture held in the IMAX auditorium. It covers the history of the theatre and a provides students with a practical case study to illustrate how Marketing, Operations, Finance and Human Resources are integrated in the day to day running of the IMAX business.

The presentation is available at 9:00am on selected days during the school year, Tuesday to Thursday.

A minimum of 30 students is required to book a date of your choice. For smaller groups, please contact our booking office to check availability of suitable dates.

FILM SCREENING - The IMAX Experience™

45 minutes

There's no better way to understand the IMAX business than to experience one of our giant screen documentary films first-hand – particularly a 3D film! Ideally, schools should plan to see the 10.00am film, but may book any documentary film & time of their choice.

PLANNING YOUR DAY

• 8.45am Arrive at IMAX in Darling Harbour
• 9.00am Student Talk in Theatre (45 mins)
• 10.00am IMAX Film screening (45 mins)
• 11.00am Optional, complete Activity Sheets on site at your leisure and under teacher direction

(Talks available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays only, not available on Mondays or Fridays)

Total Cost$17.00 per secondary school student

Includes: PowerPoint™ presentation, 45 minute IMAX screening, teacher notes and resources for high school students.
